Estancia Tecka, a working sheep and cattle ranch of over 435,000 acres in central Chubut province Argentina, is one of the largest contiguous properties in all of Patagonia. With a maximum capacity of only eighteen anglers spread across two separate lodges on this expansive property, it is one of the least pressured fishing environments on Earth, yet sits right in the middle of one of the best trout and salmon fisheries known to man. Both the Rio Corcovado and Rio Tecka systems, the former draining to the Pacific and the latter to the Atlantic, flow through the estancia, providing a diverse and expansive network of fishing waters each with its own unique characteristics.
Guests arrive in Esquel and are picked up at the airport by their guide, then driven two hours to the lodge before being given ample time to settle in and relax. Fishing is available even this first afternoon before dinner if desired. Following are six full days of fishing starting right after breakfast each morning and with a break later on for a streamside lunch, then continuing until dark or whatever hour you are ready to return to the lodge for cocktails, socializing, and a wonderful gourmet dinner. On the last day of your trip you’ll have half a day’s fishing in the morning and then lunch and quick nap before being driven back to Esquel airport where you’ll begin your trip home.
Saturday to Saturday package rates are per person based on double occupancy, and include everything except flights, airport transfers other than from and to Esquel, laundry, international telephone service, and guide/staff gratuities.
